During the year 2009 the Department of Registry of Shipping & Seamen generated numerous certificates to Bahraini registered vessels. A total of 1340 certificates were issued, the breakdown is as follows:

• A total of 37 new vessels were registered during the year 2009 to bring the total of vessels registered to 338 vessels with total tonnage of 787169 GT.
  
  
• 323 Navigation and Seaworthiness License.
  
  
• 162 Minimum Safe Manning Certificates.
  
  
• 8 Deletion from the Registration Certificates.
  
  
• A total of 702 endorsements attesting the recognition of a certificate for marine officers were issued (only during 2009).
  
  
• 62 exemptions.
  
  
• 22 Continuous Synopsis Records.
  
  
• In addition to 44 various documents.
  
  

A total revenue of BD 49,854 was generated during the year 2009 from the various services provided, compared to BD 47,353 for 2008.
